Summertime and the Reading is Easy: Children's Summer Reading Program



It's summertime and the reading is easy! Kick back and relax with a great book as the lazy days of summer roll by. Join in the fun as the library fills your summer with music, crafts, stories, and animal adventures. The Fiske Free Library's summer reading program, “Summertime and the Reading is Easy” kicks off on Friday, June 26th at 1:00 PM with the ever popular Steve Blunt and his unique songs and stories. Registration forms and reading logs for the six week program will be available. The Summer Reading Program will continue with a wide variety of programs offered throughout late June and July. Classic Authors Series: Louisa May Alcott


Please join us on Tuesday, June 23rd at 7:00 pm for the final installment in our Classic Authors Series. Marianne Donnelly of Boston, Massachusetts will present "Louisa May Alcott: Beyond Little Women." Although best known for her novel, "Little Women", Alcott was also an abolitionist, suffragist, and Civil War nurse.
This program will be held at the Trinity Episcopal Church next door to the library.
